Please read this first: Chronical is a personal health tracking tool, not a medical device and not a source of medical advice. It never replaces your doctor, specialist team or pharmacist. 1. Agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and Chronical ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app or website, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use Chronical.
2. Not medical advice
Chronical helps you record and organise your own health information and produces AI-generated summaries, suggestions and answers based on what you record. None of this is medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about your health, medications or treatment, and never delay or disregard professional advice because of something you read in Chronical.
3. AI features and their limits
- AI responses, daily priorities, appointment briefs and lab-image analysis are generated automatically and can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
- Values extracted from lab report photos are suggestions — you are responsible for checking them against the original report before saving or relying on them.
- AI outputs are based on the information you have entered; if your records are incomplete, outputs will be too.
4. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- A parent or guardian may create a paediatric profile within their own account to manage a child's condition, and is responsible for that information.
- Keep your login details secure — you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Provide accurate information; the usefulness and safety of the app depends on it.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Chronical — including attempting to access other users' data, probing or disrupting our systems, reverse engineering the app except where the law permits, using the service to develop a competing dataset, or entering another person's health information without their authority (a child's, as their parent or guardian, excepted).
6. Your content
Your health information belongs to you. You give us the limited licence needed to store and process it solely to provide Chronical's features to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We claim no other rights over it.
7. Beta service
Chronical is currently in beta. Features may change, break or be withdrawn, and availability is not guaranteed. We recommend keeping copies of important medical information outside the app — Chronical is not a system of record for your medical care.
8. Our intellectual property
The Chronical app, website, name and branding are ours. These terms don't grant you any rights to them beyond using the app as intended.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Irish or EU law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, Chronical is provided "as is"; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the previous 12 months (currently nil during the free beta).
10. Ending things
You can stop using Chronical and delete your data at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms or where required by law. On termination we will delete your data in line with the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to these terms
If we make material changes, we will tell you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Chronical after that means you accept the updated terms. The latest version always lives at chronical.ie/terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction — though if you are a consumer in the EU you keep any protections of your home country's law.
